Ski
La Giettaz is usually blessed with good snow from the beginning of the season. Its slopes range from easy to very challenging and they are connected into the Megève lift system through a link to the Jaillet and Combloux slopes which are sunny and mainly gentle. The link across Megève to the Rochebrune and Mont d’Arbois slopes is by frequent navette. The slopes in the huge Evasion Mont Blanc area are very varied. The whole area is well maintained and well-served by mountain restaurants.

La Giettaz :
€17 (12.50) per day. 8 lifts, 17 pistes, 22 km of skiing + cross country (free)

Ski School
Ski School: Based at the bottom of the slopes in Le Plan, the ski school offers snowboard, freestyle, off-piste & snowblading lessons, as well as traditional downhill. Children from age 4 are accepted.

Alternative Ski resorts locally
If you have a car, there are 2 other ski areas close to La Giettaz:
Val d’Arly: Starting point is the Seigneurs drag lift 6 km down the D909 at Flumet. There is plenty of free parking. The Evettes chairlift is a only little further. Beautiful area covering the villages of Notre Dame de Bellcombe and Flumet and now linked to Les Saisies. One of France’s best-kept secrets.
La Clusaz: 56 lifts, 86 pistes, 130 km of skiing. Just over the Aravis pass – about 15 mins by car.
